For his lack of rhyme, for his stubborn reluctance to the syllabic rule, for his asymmetric stanzas and for his indifference to classical metrics, the poet without judgment assumes that it is the easiest verse to execute: prose broken into verses.
That is why poems such as Juan Manuel Roca Corps are published with confidence “Ah revisiting your most humid place at unforeseen hours / while you open the blank page / of your legs”. The cessation of the classical rules produces, in this case, a poor and lazy poem.

In a letter, the Polish poet Wislawa Szymborska reproached a debuting writer for his lack of care with the free verse: “We are sorry that you consider the free verse as a liberation from all kinds of rules Poetry has been and always will be a game and there is no game without rules ”.
The rules of the game, in the classic subway, are defined: according to the feet, the accents, the composition of the stanza and the endings, the type of verse, its usefulness and its tradition are determined. We know how to build an iambic pentameter as we know how to build a building.
